Brooklyn and the Butcher Menus

Menu Redesign for Brooklyn and the Butcher (B&B)

Client: Brand Hospitality

Brooklyn and the Butcher, a local restaurant known for its seasonal, farm-to-table menu, approached me to redesign their menus to better showcase both current and upcoming offerings. The goal was to make the content-heavy menus easier to navigate while aligning with the restaurant’s dark, moody ambiance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Seasonal Menu Structure: Designed to highlight seasonal ingredients and rotating items, making it easier for customers to explore and understand the offerings.
  • User-Centric Layout: Created a layout that guides diners through the menu, suggesting a natural flow from starters to mains, and ensuring an intuitive reading experience.
  • Typography & Visual Hierarchy: The text was organized for better readability, with key items and sections clearly emphasized, making it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for.
  • Printed & Digital Deliverables: Produced both a printed menu for in-house use and a digital version optimized for social media advertising.

Outcome:
The redesigned menu enhanced the dining experience by creating a visually appealing and user-friendly guide to the restaurant’s seasonal menu. The layout improvements made the content easier to read, while the overall design maintained the restaurant’s signature moody aesthetic. The digital version also helped boost social media engagement, bringing more awareness to the restaurant’s seasonal offerings.
